Peace Makers
Good Morning:
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” This week we’re going to be talking about peacemakers. What does it really mean to be a peacemaker?
Most people define peace as “the absence of conflict.”
But what does it require to achieve peace in our lives. Look at what Jesus says in Matthew chapter 10:34 “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” (KJV) Jesus tells us in his “sermon on the mount” for us to be peacemakers and here he tells us that he did not come to send peace. Jesus is referred to as the “Prince of Peace.” So what does all this really mean?
All I want you to do today is visit these scriptures and just think about them. This is the journey we will be on this week. I think you will find that being a peacemaker has a lot more to it than we have probably thought about. See ya tomorrow! God bless!
Make it a great day and don’t forget to pray and read God’s word daily.
