The Twelve
Hello:
We are making progress; we are moving on into the 10th chapter of Matthew. Our text for today is:
Matthew 10:1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. 2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him
Today, our new chapter opens up with revealing to us for the first time the names of the twelve disciples.
Let’s do something different today. Here is your homework (lol). Memorize the names of Jesus 12 disciples. You would be surprised at how many people do not know them.
Tomorrow, in our text they are given their mission and we’ll go into detail as to what they were instructed to do.
God Bless!!!!
Don’t forget to pray and read God’s word daily.

Hi, Rev. Bernice,
I thought I knew the names of the disciples until I tried to recite them! I love the challenge of relearning them. Today, I’m happy to say I was able to recite them in the order they are listed in Matthew 10 — yea!!!
