The Dreamer

Hello:

We will return to our study on Matthew on Monday but today I want to share with you a couple of verses from the story of Joseph.  I am studying this story for a function that I have to speak at on this Sunday and it is so inspiring to me.

I think most of us have heard of the story of Joseph before.  He is the dreamer that was betrayed by his brothers and sold to the Egyptians.  He grew up in Potiphar’s house and then he went to prison for something he did not do.

While in prison he ran into the butler and the baker of the Pharaoh of the land.  They both had dreams and he told them of their dreams and asked the butler that when he was restored to his position to remember him.

The butler did not remember Joseph, but there came a famine in the land and God gave Pharaoh a dream that none of his people could interpret and the butler remembered that there was a man by the name of Joseph that was in prison and that had told him his dream.

They sent for Joseph and Joseph interpreted the dream and became second in command in all

Egypt.

The part of the story that I want to share with you today that really touched my heart are the following passages:

Genesis 41: 50 Before the years of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph by Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On. 51 Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” 52 The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”

These verses touched me because it shows how Joseph realized that his dream was bigger than him and that he realized that though his brothers had wronged him, Joseph knew that they meant it for evil but God meant it for good.  It was all in the hands of God.  My naming his children Manassah and Ephraim, it showed how it had let go of the pain of his past and God had blessed him in the land of his suffering.

Keep Dreaming.   Every situation is bringing you closer and closer to your destiny.   All experiences can be used for your growth and your success no matter how good or how bad, he’s just that kind of God.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay encouraged!!!!!!!!

God Bless!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t forget to pray and read God’s word daily.
